Every NFL team has a dream scenario in the 2022 NFL Draft

Depending on the current shape of its roster and draft picks, a team could have multiple or very few dream scenarios, and the importance of hitting on the most ideal outcome could vary.

Today, let's highlight some of the most notable dream scenarios in the 2022 NFL Draft, starting with the New York Giants.

NEW YORK GIANTS: FIND A TRADE PARTNER FOR ONE OF THEIR TOP 10 PICKS WHILE ADDING A 2023 FIRST-ROUNDER IN RETURN

It’s no secret that the Giants’ current quarterback situation is fluid. Daniel Jones has struggled to grow since being taken sixth overall back in 2019, posting 65.1, 74.4 and 71.2 passing grades over his three years with the team. From the hesitancy to pull the trigger downfield, the consistent fumbling issues and the lack of playmaking under duress, Jones’ ability to lead an efficient offense is in question.

Perhaps the regime can tap into some never before seen play from the Duke product, but either way, the franchise needs a Plan B — taking a new quarterback in 2023. Trading away one of their two top-10 selections in the 2022 NFL Draft to move back and pick up another 2023 first-round pick is a dream scenario, as it leaves New York with an out while improving its chances of landing one of the top passing prospects in next year’s class, which could be stacked in with high-end talent that includes Alabama‘s Bryce Young and Ohio State‘s CJ Stroud

NEW YORK JETS: GET KAYVON THIBODEAUX AT NO. 4 AND EITHER DEREK STINGLEY JR. OR SAUCE GARDNER AT NO. 10

New York did a quality job taking advantage of its open cash in free agency and now could win again in the 2022 NFL Draft thanks to two top-10 selections. While it’d be hard for the Jets to mess up these top selections, one scenario reigns supreme, as there is a real chance that Thibodeaux falls to them at fourth overall in addition to either Stingley or Gardner sliding into their hands at 10th overall. If those situations occur, New York should sprint the cards in.
