2020 NFL Draft: Tristan Wirfs is ready to pass protect in the NFL

As the first post-combine week of the offseason comes to a close, it’s time to take a look at an offensive tackle who jumped up a little bit as a result of his time in Indy — Tristan Wirfs of Iowa. Already highly regarded by our draft experts Austin Gayle and Mike Renner, Wirfs moved very well at Lucas Oil, running a 4.85 in the 40-yard dash while posting a 4.68 in the 20-yard shuttle. Folks are less concerned about the fact that he was only able to muster 24 reps in the bench press, viewing his overall performance as evidence that he could be the top tackle prospect come April.
