- Texas A&M senior S Armani Watts ranked No. 3 among returning SEC safeties with less than 700 defensive snaps in total stops with 18 last season, pushing his career total to 54 in three years.
- Opposing quarterbacks averaged a 39.4 passer rating when targeting Watts last season, which ranked No. 2 among all returning SEC safeties. He also graded well in the slot, allowing a passer rating of only 54.3 on 121 snaps.
- Driving his draft stock down however is the fact that Watts missed 15-of-70 tackle attempts in 2016, a sign that his open-field tackling will need to improve next season.
