- A former four-star recruit, Fant allowed catches on just 38.7 percent of his targets, which ranked No. 2 among all returning FBS cornerbacks with at least 40 targets last season.
- While keeping the ball away from his receivers has been his specialty, Fant has struggled to tackle his opponents after the catch. He ranked No. 125 among draft-eligible cornerbacks in tackling efficiency in 2016.
