- Nevada ED Malik Reed put together a strong sophomore season in 2016, largely due to his ability to beat his opposition to the outside edge. He ranked No. 4 in pass-rush snaps per outside pressure (11.9) among draft-eligible edge defenders last season.
- Now entering his junior season with the Wolfpack, Reed should continue to prevent opposing offenses from converting when it matters most. In 2016, he ranked No. 11 and No. 15 in third down pass-rush productivity and fourth quarter pass-rush productivity among that same group of edge defenders, respectively.
- Serving as his kryptonite, Reed fits the mold of a one-trick-pony along the edge. He ranked No. 27 in pass-rush snaps per inside pressure and No. 81 in pass rush snaps per bull rush pressure among the 2018 draft class last season.
