- Though small in stature (5-foot-10, 210-pounds), TCU senior RB Kyle Hicks has left a significant impact on the Horned Frogs’ offense last season, as he leads all returning Big 12 running backs in total missed tackles forced (51).
- Hicks’ elite shiftiness in space allowed for him to blossom into a lethal receiving threat out of the backfield. Finishing No. 2 among draft-eligible backs in receptions with 48. He forced 15 missed tackles as a receiver, the fifth-most of any returning Power 5 running back in 2016.
- Largely due to his production after the catch, Hicks ranked No. 1 in yards per route run (1.34) among returning Big 12 running backs with at least 150 snaps in route last season.
- A sign that he also has breakaway speed, Hicks ranked T-No. 8 among returning Power 5 backs with less than 220 attempts in runs of 15 yards or more (17) last season.
