  • Iowa senior LB Josey Jewell proved dominant against the run while anchoring the middle of the Hawkeyes’ defense last season, posting the highest run defense grade (86.4) among all returning Big Ten linebackers.
  • Jewell’s 11.7 run stop percentage ranked No. 10 among that same group of linebackers.
  • In addition to leading the team with 124 combined tackles, Jewell had the fourth-highest percentage of positively graded plays against the run among all draft-eligible linebackers in last season.
