- At 6-foot, 192-pounds, SMU junior CB Jordan Wyatt is a far better tackler than his long, thin frame may suggest, as he ranked No. 10 in the 2018 draft class in tackling efficiency last season. He has now missed just eight of his 98 tackle attempts.
- Wyatt limited receivers to just 141 yards after the catch on 40 receptions allowed (3.53 average), ranking No. 1 among returning AAC cornerbacks with at least 320 defensive snaps last season.
- Often preventing his opposition for moving the sticks, Wyatt recorded 13 stops in the passing game in 2016, the 13th-most of any cornerback in the nation.
