- Colorado State WR Michael Gallup shined in his first season playing FBS football and enters the 2017 season among the nation’s best wide receiver prospects as a PFF Day 2 projection.
- Gallup transferred from Butler County Community College and performed at a high level in 2016. His 4.34 yards per route run – which measures productivity on a per route basis by dividing total yards by total snaps in route – leads all returning draft eligible receivers.
- His production is evident as 47.5 percent of his receptions went for either a first down or a touchdown, ranking No. 3 among draft-eligible wide outs with at least 50 receptions.
- Gallup’s physicality was on display with the ball in his hands as his 225 yards gained on screen passes ranked No. 6 in the nation.
- After excelling in so many statistical categories in 2016, the biggest question regarding Gallup is if he can continue the production into 2017 and beyond to become a household name on Saturdays, and eventually Sundays.
