- Arkansas QB Austin Allen enters the 2017 season as the only quarterback from the SEC to be ranked on the PFF big board. Allen ranks as the seventh best quarterback and has a Day 2 PFF draft projection.
- Allen was great utilizing play action a year ago. His 15 touchdowns were the fifth-most among draft-eligible quarterbacks and his passer rating of 133.9 off play action led the SEC and ranks No. 6 in the draft class.
- Allen was also dangerous on deep passes (a pass targeted 20 or more yards downfield). His passer rating of 122.9 ranks No. 3 among draft-eligible quarterbacks, throwing for eight touchdowns versus one interception.
- Next season, Allen needs to show better decision-making under pressure as he had the most interceptions when under pressure last season with eight.
