- Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report lists the Raiders Cordarrelle Patterson as one of the most overlooked additions this NFL offseason. Patterson signed a free agent contract with Oakland in March.
- Patterson's niche is being elusive with the ball in hand. He had the third-best missed tackle forced rate among all receivers in 2016 (25.0 percent), having leg the league in that category in 2014 (36.4 percent).
- He was PFF's 61st ranked wide receiver in 2016 with an overall grade of 71.7, but had the fifth highest yards after catch per reception of all receivers with at least 50 catches at 6.3.
- Patterson also adds significant value on special teams and as a return man, with 126 special teams snaps last season, 70 as a returner.
Cordarrelle Patterson could be an overlooked boost to the Raiders in 2017
