2024 Recap
Ole Miss’s 2024 season fell short of expectations, as the Rebels failed to make the College Football Playoff despite entering the year ranked No. 6. Still, it’s been a historic stretch for the program, with 21 wins over the past two seasons — the most in any two-year span in school history.
The Rebels face the challenge of replacing several stars from last year’s squad, including a pair of first-round picks in defensive tackle Walter Nolen and quarterback Jaxson Dart. New signal-caller Austin Simmons showed promising flashes as a redshirt freshman, earning an 82.5 PFF grade on 80 snaps, and he inherits one of the nation’s best receiving corps. The biggest question mark lies on defense, where Ole Miss must overcome the loss of multiple elite players to avoid a major step back.
