Florida exceeded expectations in 2024, as Billy Napier quieted critics with an 8-5 campaign and the Gators’ first bowl win since 2019 despite facing one of the nation’s toughest schedules.

Entering 2025, optimism remains high thanks to sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway, a potential superstar, and a loaded supporting cast. If Lagway refines his footwork, Florida’s offense should be able to put points on anyone. The bigger question lies on the other side of the ball: can a more seasoned secondary take a step forward after last year’s struggles?
