  • Texas’ Malik Jefferson is giving up just 0.45 yards per coverage snap, fifth-best among Big 12 inside linebackers. Interior defender Poona Ford has registered 11 pressures on opposing quarterbacks this season, while also proving his worth in run defense with eight run stops.

When Texas is on offense

  • Edge defender Ogbonnia Okoronkwo has posted 19 total pressures this season, and is ranked second among Big 12 edge players in pass-rush productivity.
  • On the opposite end of that spectrum, Longhorns G Patrick Vahe will need to tighten up his pass protection this season – as he has allowed nine total QB pressures – fourth-most among Big 12 guards with at least 60 pass blocking snaps.
