On Thursday we uncovered the best fantasy value on every NFC team, and today we’ll pick things up with the AFC. Let’s get right to it.
AFC East
Buffalo Bills: Tyrod Taylor, QB (FantasyPros ADP 121, QB15)
Taylor was an athletic but raw prospect coming out of Virginia Tech, and after spending the first four years of his career as Joe Flacco’s understudy in Baltimore, Taylor finally got earned his chance to shine after landing with Buffalo last season. His 16-game pace as a first-time starter was 3,468 yards with 23 TDs and 7 INTs through the air, and more importantly for fantasy, another 649 yards and 5 scores on the ground. In fact, Taylor trailed only Cam Newton and Russell Wilson in fantasy points per dropback (0.59) and was the No. 5 fantasy QB during the 14 weeks he played. He also showed no hesitation taking shots downfield to Sammy Watkins, as he attempted a higher percentage of deep throws than any other passer in the league (18.4 percent). Perhaps out of concern that he could be a one-year wonder, Taylor is currently available in the 10th round as an upside QB2.
