I stated last week in my “Fantasy Stock Market” column that once Week 1 is in the books, your draft boards will be nullified. Stop looking at them because they no longer matter.
While it may have seemed like a great idea to get Andre Johnson in the third round, it doesn’t seem like the best move now. On the flip side, you look like a genius for taking a shot on Tyler Eifert in the 10th round.
But here’s the best part. What happened in Week 1 will not necessarily be nullified, but it doesn't mean nearly as much as some tend to think.
This is where I come in. Last week there were three players that I told you to buy on: Davante Adams, Stevie Johnson, and Christine Michael.
As it turns out, one was a hit and his fantasy stock price has increased significantly. That player was Stevie Johnson, who saw six targets and turned them into six receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown.
Christine Michael is going to take some time, and we knew that (the Cowboys backs didn’t look like anything special in Week 1).
And the jury is still out on Davante Adams, but I am still in full BUY mode on him. Seriously, keep buying.
There were two players that I told you to sell off your shares of: Joique Bell and Alfred Morris.
Joique Bell’s stock has plummeted and you’d be lucky to get someone like David Johnson for him now.
And while Alfred Morris did have a good game, I am still selling him as well. He could not have had a better game script, yet walked away without scoring on 25 carries. His elusive rating was just 9.1, which ranked him No. 33 in Week 1 among running backs that received 25 percent of their team's carries.
So who am I buying and selling this week?
