Eagles expected to lose Darby 4-6 weeks

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Ronald Darby is out 4-6 weeks with a dislocated ankle after MRI and X-ray results were negative. This was the best-case scenario for the team after the injury originally looked gruesome.
Darby played just 18 snaps with his new team before being carted off the field. The former Buffalo Bill had a rough sophomore campaign after a promising rookie year. His 9.7 coverage snaps per reception ranked 54th at his position in 2016. Opposing quarterbacks had a 104.8 passer rating when targeting Darby.
The Eagles will move forward with Jalen Mills and Patrick Robinson as their top two cornerbacks while Darby is sidelined. The duo had a solid showing against the Washington Redskins in Week 1. Mills was targeted 15 times, but did not allow any big plays and collected a red-zone interception. Robinson allowed just three catches on six targets for 22 yards. Cousins had a 59.0 passer rating when throwing at the veteran. He earned an 82.3 overall grade for his efforts.
