  • Per Ian Rapoport, Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware's ACL “is believed to be intact” after he was carted off during the team’s preseason game Saturday. Andy Reid has called Ware's injury a sprained knee. Ware will undergo an MRI Saturday “to determine the extent of his knee sprain and to see if there’s damage to the meniscus, PCL, or MCL.” Rapoport also stated the injury is “not expected to end his 2017.”
  • Ware graded as the No. 19 running back in 2016 with an overall grade of 77.2, also boasting the seventh-highest receiving grade among all running backs with 79.1. Ware only dropped one pass out of his 34 catchable targets, awarding him a drop rate of 2.94, good for eighth among 26 eligible running backs with at least 40 targets.
  • Ware also fielded the third-highest yards per route run among running backs with at least 40 targets, with 1.76.
