Estimated Reading Time: 2 minutes

Even though they technically hold only the AFC's seventh seed, the Kansas City Chiefs confirmed that they are back at the top of the conference with a dominant 29-13 win against the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football in Week 8.

Game Summary

According to the PFF noise-canceled score metric, the Chiefs were clearly the better team, especially in a dominant second half. It was more difficult to track which team was playing better in a first half during which both teams had multiple turnovers and fourth-down failures, but the Chiefs left no doubt after halftime adjustments.

Passing Summary

The Chiefs' offense was very efficient through the air, but also when Patrick Mahomes decided to scramble.

Receiving Summary

Rashee Rice showed his value, earning the most targets and receiving yards for the Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes had a relatively low average depth of target, as illustrated by Travis Kelce‘s team-leading 53 targeted air yards.

It wasn’t the best day for the Commanders‘ offense, highlighted by a running back being their leading receiver for the game.

Rushing Summary

The Chiefs' offense is firing on all cylinders right now, and that includes an efficient ground attack.
