The Pittsburgh Steelers kept their playoff hopes alive with a 17-10 win in the rain against the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday afternoon.

The Steelers opened the scoring on their second drive of the game, with a run-heavy drive ending in a 6-yard touchdown run by Najee HarrisThat was it for the scoring until late in the first half when Tyler Huntley found Isaiah Likely for a 27-yard touchdown to tie the game at 7-7 at the half.

Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Mason Rudolph found Diontae Johnson for a 71-yard touchdown on the opening play of the fourth.

The Steelers made it a 10-point lead late in the fourth quarter, with Chris Boswell converting a 25-yard field goal. A 36-yard field goal from Justin Tucker rounded out the scoring in the final minute of the game.

Offensive spotlight: The weather played a big part, but a shootout this was not. Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph went 18-for-20 for 152 yards and the long touchdown to Diontae Johnson. Despite wearing gloves, he fumbled the ball three times in the rain.

The Steelers did have success in the running game, though, with Najee Harris rushing 26 times for 112 yards and a touchdown and Jaylen Warren taking nine carries for 33 yards.

Defensive spotlight: Steelers edge defender T.J. Watt recorded his 18th and 19th sacks of the season to lead the league in that category. However, he suffered a knee injury late in the third quarter and didn’t return.

Jadeveon Clowney and Kyle Van Noy came away with sacks for the Ravens. Clowney, signed in August, earned a $750,000 incentive by hitting 9.5 sacks this season. Van Noy, who signed for the Ravens after the season began, now has nine sacks on the year.

Rookie spotlight: Ravens linebacker Trenton Simpson had played 20 defensive snaps heading into this week but replaced Patrick Queen in the second half and recorded a tackle for loss and the first sack of his career on a blitz.

Offensive tackle Broderick Jones and cornerback Joey Porter Jr, the Steelers’ top two selections in the 2023 NFL Draft, both had solid games.
