PFF grades are LIVE: NFL Week 8

  • The Eagles’ rushing attack was dominant in Sunday’s win over the Giants: Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby each eclipsed 100 rushing yards. Barkley forced three missed tackles on 14 carries, while Bigsby forced five on nine. Both earned PFF rushing grades above 80.0.
  • The Jets’ offensive line excelled in pass protection: All five starters earned PFF pass-blocking grades of 69.0 or higher. Starting tackles Olumuyiwa Fashanu and Armand Membou were both flawless, allowing zero pressures on 40 pass-blocking snaps each.

Los Angeles Chargers 37, Minnesota Vikings 10

Running back Kimani Vidal turned in a strong performance for the Chargers in their Thursday Night Football win. He forced five missed tackles on 23 carries and averaged 5.1 yards per attempt, with 3.2 of those yards coming after contact. Vidal finished the game with a 77.1 PFF rushing grade.

Baltimore Ravens 30, Chicago Bears 16

Facing his former team, Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith delivered an impressive performance. He earned PFF grades of 84.0 or higher both against the run and in coverage, finishing with seven tackles that resulted in defensive stops.

New England Patriots 32, Cleveland Browns 13

Despite the loss, the story of the game was Myles Garrett’s dominance. The Browns edge defender earned a 91.8 PFF pass-rush grade and a 29.6% win rate, racking up seven total pressures, including five sacks.

Philadelphia Eagles 38, New York Giants 20

Houston Texans 26, San Francisco 49ers 15

Rookie tackle Aireontae Ersery has endured some early struggles since becoming a starter for the Texans, but this was the highest-graded game of his young career. He allowed just two pressures on 42 pass-blocking snaps and, after giving up a sack in each of his first four starts, hasn’t allowed one in the past three.

Miami Dolphins 34, Atlanta Falcons 10

After facing criticism for recent press conference comments, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa responded with a strong performance this week. He completed 20 of his 26 passes for 205 yards with no turnover-worthy plays, earning an 81.1 PFF passing grade in Miami’s road win over the Falcons.

New York Jets 39, Cincinnati Bengals 38

The Jets’ offensive line excelled in pass protection this week, with all five starters earning PFF pass-blocking grades of 69.0 or higher. Starting tackles Olumuyiwa Fashanu and Armand Membou were both flawless, allowing zero pressures on 40 pass-blocking snaps each.

Buffalo Bills 40, Carolina Panthers 9

Bills running back James Cook was outstanding in Buffalo’s road win over the Carolina Panthers, racking up 216 rushing yards and earning a 91.7 PFF rushing grade. He forced seven missed tackles on 19 carries and recorded three runs of 15 yards or more.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23, New Orleans Saints 3

Buccaneers edge defender Anthony Nelson made a game-changing play with a pick-six, but that wasn’t his only impact. He earned a 90.1 PFF pass-rush grade, recording five total pressures, including two sacks on 30 pass-rushing snaps.

Denver Broncos 44, Dallas Cowboys 24

Quinn Meinerz is making a strong case as the NFL’s best guard this season, and his dominance as a run blocker on Sunday only strengthened that argument. He earned a 91.5 PFF run-blocking grade, thanks in no small part to a pair of powerful blocks on rookie running back RJ Harvey’s 40-yard touchdown run.

Indianapolis Colts 38, Tennessee Titans 14

Colts running back Jonathan Taylor’s dominant season continued Sunday, as he racked up 153 yards on just 12 carries against the Tennessee Titans. He earned a 90.8 PFF rushing grade, forcing seven missed tackles and gaining 123 of his yards after contact.

Green Bay Packers 35, Pittsburgh Steelers 25

Quarterback Jordan Love delivered a strong performance against the Steelers, completing 29 of 37 passes for 360 yards and three touchdowns. He finished with a 79.5 PFF passing grade, recording one big-time throw and no turnover-worthy plays.

Kansas City Chiefs 28, Washington Commanders 7

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes set season highs with an 82.8 overall PFF grade and an 81.7 PFF passing grade in Kansas City’s win over the Commanders on Monday Night Football. He recorded three big-time throws, producing a season-best 8.3% big-time throw rate, and had just one turnover-worthy play — with one of his two interceptions coming off a Travis Kelce drop.
