- Dallas strengthens the linebacking corps: Logan Wilson himself has posted a 54.8 PFF grade in 2025, but he has earned marks between 61.5 and 74.6 in every season from 2021 to 2024. At worst, he represents an upgrade over what the Cowboys currently have at linebacker, as their four players with 100 or more defensive snaps this season have earned PFF grades ranging from 39.7 to 56.3.
- The Ravens add defensive line depth: Jones might not dramatically raise the ceiling of the Ravens defense, but he undoubtedly raises its floor. He’s earned a PFF pass-rush grade above 65.0 in all seven of his NFL seasons and has already produced 19 pressures in 2025 — including five sacks and four quarterback hits — earning a 67.5 PFF pass-rush grade and an 11.5% win rate.

The 2025 NFL trade deadline has arrived, and front offices across the league are making their final pushes to either shape postseason rosters or build for the future. We’re tracking every major trade with instant analysis, player grades and team outlooks as deals come together across the league.

New York Jets send DI Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys become the latest team to land a Jets star, acquiring defensive tackle Quinnen Williams in exchange for a 2026 second-round pick and a 2027 first-round pick. Dallas has been desperate for defensive reinforcements, and Williams — who leads all interior defensive linemen in PFF run-defense grade this season at 90.8 — should provide a massive boost to a unit that ranked second-to-last in the NFL through nine weeks with a 41.5 PFF run-defense grade.
As part of the deal, the Jets also receive defensive tackle Mazi Smith. The 27th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Smith has yet to record a season with a PFF grade above 50.0 and now becomes a reclamation project for Aaron Glenn and the Jets.

Cleveland Browns trade Joe Tryon-Shoyinka to the Chicago Bears for a sixth-round pick
Adding Tryon-Shoyinka is a solid depth move for a Bears team that lost Dayo Odeyingbo to a season-ending Achilles injury this past week. Tryon-Shoyinka has been on the field for just 14 snaps as a pass-rusher for the Browns this season, but he has managed to registered three pressures on those snaps, and registered 20 pressures or more in each of his first four seasons in the league.

Indianapolis Colts acquire Sauce Gardner from the New York Jets
A blockbuster trade that sends shockwaves through the NFL, this move firmly establishes the Colts’ credentials as contenders in 2025. Sauce Gardner has forced 49 incompletions and earned a 90.8 PFF grade since entering the league — both the highest marks among all cornerbacks over that span. He also leads the NFL with a 74.1% lockdown percentage through the first half of this season.
At just 25 years old, Gardner is entering his prime and gives Indianapolis one of the premier defensive players in football.
As part of the deal, the Colts are sending two first-round picks and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell to the Jets. Mitchell, the 52nd selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, has yet to make a significant impact, recording 32 receptions for 464 yards and no touchdowns across his first season and a half in the league.

New Orleans Saints trade WR Rashid Shaeed to Seattle Seahawks for 2026 fourth- and fifth-round picks
With what the Seahawks already have at the wide receiver position — especially Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who leads the NFL in yards per route run — adding a player like Rashid Shaheed, who can take the top off of a defense, adds another layer to an offense that has been one of the best in the NFL.
With Sam Darnold playing at an MVP level, this is the type of move that can take him and the Seahawks to another level. Darnold has earned a 97.4 PFF passing grade on throws 20-plus-yard downfield since the start of the 2024 season, leading the NFL, while Shaheed has earned a 94.5 PFF receiving grade on receptions of the same depth.

Las Vegas Raiders trade WR Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars for picks
The Jaguars get some much-needed stability at wide receiver with Travis Hunter on injured reserve and Brian Thomas Jr. continuing to endure sophomore struggles, acquiring Jakobi Meyers from the Raiders — a consistent, reliable target with an 82.8 career PFF receiving grade. The move gives Jacksonville a proven possession receiver in a group that’s struggled at the catch point, as the Jaguars lead the NFL with 24 drops.
Meyers’ sure hands stand out — he’s dropped just two passes on 174 targets since the start of last season, the third-lowest drop rate in the league over that span. His veteran presence should immediately help Trevor Lawrence find rhythm in the passing game while giving the offense the steady, dependable option it’s been missing.

Dallas Cowboys trading for Cincinnati Bengals LB Logan Wilson
Wilson became surplus to requirements in Cincinnati, with the Bengals turning to rookies Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight Jr., who rank 92nd and 93rd, respectively, out of 94 linebackers who have played 100 or more snaps this season. Wilson himself has posted a 54.8 PFF grade in 2025, but he has earned marks between 61.5 and 74.6 in every season from 2021 to 2024.
At worst, he represents an upgrade over what the Cowboys currently have at linebacker, as their four players with 100 or more defensive snaps this season have earned PFF grades ranging from 39.7 to 56.3.

Baltimore Ravens acquire Tennessee Titans‘ DI Dre'Mont Jones
Jones might not dramatically raise the ceiling of the Ravens defense, but he undoubtedly raises its floor. He’s earned a PFF pass-rush grade above 65.0 in all seven of his NFL seasons and has already produced 19 pressures in 2025 — including five sacks and four quarterback hits — earning a 67.5 PFF pass-rush grade and an 11.5% win rate.
All five of those marks would lead Baltimore’s current edge group, and Jones also brings valuable versatility as a player who can slide inside on passing downs. That flexibility fills a critical need for the Ravens following Nnamdi Madubuike’s season-ending injury.

Philadelphia Eagles bring in Miami Dolphins edge rusher Jaelan Phillips
After coaxing Brandon Graham out of retirement, adding Jaelen Phillips represents another boost to the Eagles’ pass rush as they enter the second half of the season. Phillips has totaled 32 pressures with a 19.3% PFF pass-rush win rate and a 77.8 PFF pass-rush grade, all of which would lead Philadelphia’s edge defenders this year.
While surrendering a third-round pick isn’t insignificant, the Eagles can justify the move with both short-term impact and long-term value in mind. They’ll hope to recoup at least a fourth-round compensatory pick if Phillips departs in free agency after the season.
