If you’re pulling your hair out, or seemed to have aged an extra five years in the past few weeks, you’re not alone. The injury crisis at linebacker for fantasy gamers continued to wreak havoc in IDP lineups. It’s not been smooth sailing for many, and a quick look at the injury toll at linebacker so far shows just how lucky you have been if you’ve avoided being stung by an injury:
Luke Kuechly – top-three LB – missed the last three games with concussion. He hoped to return in Week 6, but still doubts remain. Thomas Davis has been dealing with a pectoral issue, costing him snaps in two games as well, limiting his upside with Kuechly missing.
DeAndre Levy – top-five LB – missed four games, and aggravated his hip injury in Week 5 return. Now there's talk he may be shut down for the year. Josh Bynes has been replacing him as an every-down player, with Stephen Tulloch’s role reduced. Bynes is worth picking up but is only a LB3. Of his 28 total tackles on the year only 15 are solo, and his playing time is directly linked to Levy’s status.
