If you’re still playing in Week 15, congratulations on running the gauntlet and making into the fantasy playoffs. While these games are clearly the most important on the schedule, you don’t necessarily want to change what’s been working for 14 weeks.
In many cases, the pressure of being in “must win” mode causes fantasy owners to overthink things and make irrational lineup decisions. The best piece of advice might be to stick with who got you here- play your studs.
That’s not a foolproof plan, of course, but in the grand scheme of things. Treat this week like you treated Week 14, and most of the other preceding slates. Stick with your corp starters, attack any relevant waiver additions, and exploit favorable matchups- but no more than a normal, astute Pro Football Focus reader would do.
In short, keep doing what you’ve been doing. Don’t deviate from the successful formula that led you to the semi-finals. Preparation is vital, but don’t over think it. You got this.
To help, here are some start/sit tips to help you make decisions for players or matchups that you might be on the fence about. Good luck with your choices, and we hope to see you back here next week for the finals.
Start
Quarterbacks
Matt Stafford, Lions (at New Orleans) – Stafford has exceeded 20 fantasy points in five straight games for Detroit, with multiple touchdown passes in four of the five games. For Week 15, The Lions travel to New Orleans to face PFF’s 31st-ranked pass rush and 32nd-ranked secondary. This New Orleans defense has surrendered 15 touchdown passes in their last three home games.
As an added bonus, Calvin Johnson should see plenty of coverage from PFF’s lowest-ranked cornerback, Brandon Browner. This makes Stafford even more appealing, as the Detroit offense is at its best when these two are connecting frequently. With that in mind, a Stafford/Megatron stack has strong appeal in both season-long and daily formats.
