- Concerning usage for Logan Wilson: The Cincinnati Bengals deployed a new rotation at the position this week, which took Wilson off the field for several drives in Week 3.
- T.J. Watt gets back on track: After a quiet first two games, Watt took advantage of a great matchup and delivered a multi-sack performance.

Week 3 takeaways
Waiver wire
- LB Jack Gibbens, New England Patriots: Gibbens can be added in deeper leagues as a non-full-time LB after replacing Elliss. Gibbens played 81% of the defensive snaps in the second half while Elliss didn’t see the field.
- LB Marcelino McCrary-Ball, New York Jets: McCrary-Ball filled in for the injured Williams, though he also may have suffered a hamstring injury late in the game. Head coach Aaron Glenn said that he’ll be “OK”, and if that’s the case, he can be a fine option in deeper leagues while Williams is out.
- LB Kyzir White, Tennessee Titans: With the expectation of a larger role for White going forward, IDP managers in deeper leagues should plan proactively by adding him in Cedric Gray‘s place. It’s unclear if this will ever become a full-time role for White, but his NFL starting experience is the leg-up he’ll likely need to overtake Gray on the depth chart
- S Ashtyn Davis, Miami Dolphins: There was finally a full-time safety to start next to Minkah Fitzpatrick this week, as Davis took on that role because Ifeatu Melifonwu was out. If Melifonwu misses more time, Davis can be a starting IDP option, accompanied by strong usage; however, if Melifonwu returns, we can avoid this group again.
- S Ty Okada, Seattle Seahawks: Okada stepped into a full-time role with both Julian Love and Nick Emmanwori out for this game. It’s possible that either Love or Emmanwori returns next week, which would nullify Okada’s value, but on the chance that they miss another game while the team plays on a short week, Okada can be a fine fill-in option for deeper leagues.
- S Jeremy Reaves, Washington Commanders: Reaves replaced the injured Will Harris, playing 100% of the second-half snaps, and 59% came in the box. Reaves should be considered a solid IDP starting option with this usage for as long as Harris is out.
- CB Mike Hilton, Indianapolis Colts: Following Kenny Moore’s injury, the team signed Hilton on Monday, and he has familiarity operating as Lou Anarumo’s nickel corner. He should step into Moore’s role, which has allowed him to be a weekly IDP option in CB-required leagues.

| Josh Sweat | 41.5% | 30.0% | 42.2% | 31.6% | 10.5% | 84.3 |
- Point of interest: Josh Sweat has made the most of his lower snap share this season, now delivering a sack in back-to-back games. It’s concerning for the potential sustainability of his IDP production if he can’t consistently play over 55% of the snaps, but keeping him fresh and rested has paid off for the team thus far.

- Point of interest: It was a good IDP day for the Cardinals linebackers, as both Mack Wilson and Akeem Davis-Gaither delivered strong tackle rates this week. Davis-Gaither still isn’t playing much on passing downs, so it isn’t a surprise to see him have better games against run-heavy opponents.
