Perfect 2025 fantasy football superflex draft strategy, round by round — Picks 10-12

  • The first-to-second-round turn might be the best range for a zero-QB start: With the elite quarterbacks all likely gone in superflex formats, consider one of the many top-tier players at the skill positions.
  • Stay patient at quarterback: With a deeper pool of fantasy-relevant passers this year, what does it look like to load up on skill positions for the first four rounds or so.

Superflex fantasy football drafts are becoming more popular, but how and when to draft certain positions remains a common point of uncertainty. This series will focus on superflex average draft positions as we draft from the pick Nos. 10-12 range.

Know your scoring

Before diving into the pick-by-pick strategy, it’s important to familiarize yourself with the overall league and scoring settings, especially for superflex formats.

  • As highlighted in the tables below, full PPR scoring balances things out more for skill-position players compared to quarterbacks, although quarterbacks still hold an advantage at the top.
  • As scoring moves away from full PPR, quarterbacks will dominate even more. As more advantages are given to the skill positions, expect to see a more even distribution among the league’s top scorers.
  • As league size increases, the quarterback position becomes more valuable. There are only 32 starters at most in a given week, so it becomes all the more important to load up on the position early.

ROUND 1, PICKS 10-12: Taking the top available skill position player

This is the lone range where it might be smart not to take a quarterback with our first pick and instead build around an elite skill-position player. This means we’ll have to address quarterbacks later, but the position is deep enough that we can make it work, especially if we hit on the right picks at running back or wide receiver.

Top Target: RB Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
Sleeper Redraft SF ADP: 10.1
  • Barkley finished as the overall RB1 in 2024, delivering a 2,000-yard rushing season in his first year with the Eagles. He is currently being valued as the RB3 in Sleeper superflex drafts.
  • Repeating as RB1 overall again will be a difficult task — a lot will have to go right for him to reach the top of that mountain again, including his otherworldly rushing and touchdown totals from last season.
  • However, Barkley is still one of the best bets to finish near the top of his position in 2025. He is expected to remain in a workhorse role in a near-identical situation to last year, which allowed him to average a league-leading 24.0 opportunities per game.
  • Even if that number were to drop closer to 20 opportunities (carries plus targets) per game, he’d still likely return RB1 value. Barkley is a great bet to kick off our draft when considering how the ADP shakes out.
Other possible targets: TE Brock Bowers, WR CeeDee Lamb
