- Trey McBride remains the clear TE1: McBride engineered another 22-plus PPR points in Week 13. He’s been a different player with Jacoby Brissett at the helm, seeing elite volume and real touchdown upside.
- Concerns grow for Travis Etienne: He notched just 5.1 PPR points in Week 13, and Bhayshul Tuten’s usage keeps climbing. The split is tightening and the Jaguars' schedule gets tougher, so temper your expectations heading into the fantasy playoffs.

BOOMS
TE Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals
Since Jacoby Brissett took over as the Cardinals' starting quarterback, McBride has averaged 23.2 PPR points per game. He was at his best again in Week 13 with a 22.2-point performance.
Since Week 6 with Brissett at the helm, McBride owns a 29.3% adjusted target rate and ranks second (behind only Ja'Marr Chase) in targets. On top of the elite usage, Brissett is looking McBride's way in the red zone. In 38 starts with Kyler Murray, McBride logged just five touchdowns. Meanwhile, in seven games with Brissett, the tight end has hit paydirt seven times.
McBride is on pace to be the clear TE1 this season, and the gap doesn't appear to be closing anytime soon.
Temperature Check: The TE1
RB Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons
Robinson has put up two 30.3-point performances over the past three weeks.
The star running back logged nearly 200 total yards and a touchdown in Week 13 against the Jets, nearly equaling the output of all other Falcons skill position players combined (208).
Robinson is an up-and-down fantasy producer due to Atlanta's varying game scripts, but this week worked in his favor as the team fought in a back-and-forth battle with the Jets.
Temperature Check: Top-five running back
WR A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles
Brown continues to be the biggest boom-or-bust player in fantasy football this year.
He has five games with five or more touches and six games with fewer than five touches, making him purely a pick-your-spot player who thrives when the Eagles are forced to air the ball out.

Brown has seen five or more touches against the Bears, Cowboys, Lions, Giants and Rams. The Giants are the biggest outlier, as the rest of the teams are firmly in playoff contention and gave the Eagles trouble.
Temperature Check: Boom-or-bust WR1
BUSTS
WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks
For the first time this season, Smith-Njigba has reached the “busts” section of this article.
He managed only two receptions and 23 yards for 4.3 PPR points in Week 13. There is not too much to say other than the Vikings‘ defensive front did well to generate pressure early and often on quarterback Sam Darnold, and the Seahawks' defense did a great job of taking the ball away and setting up short fields. Those factors created an unfavorable game script for Smith-Njigba.
He remains the top fantasy wide receiver.
Temperature Check: The WR1
RB Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars
Etienne produced 5.1 PPR points in Week 13, and rookie Bhayshul Tuten vultured the Jaguars' lone rushing touchdown of the day.
However, Jacksonville's backfield snap share is the more concerning part for Etienne's fantasy managers. Etienne out-touched Tuten 13 to 9, but Tuten saw the higher touch rate, at 50% to 48.1%. Tuten’s usage has been ramping up over the past couple of weeks and is something to monitor as the fantasy playoffs approach. On top of that, the Jaguars have one of the toughest remaining schedules for fantasy running backs, so temper your expectations for Etienne.
Temperature Check: Mid-tier RB2
RB Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
Barkley sits as the RB44 on the week, and that’s before Monday Night Football, after which he will likely slide even further.
This week was a game-script issue for Barkley that, as mentioned above, benefited A.J. Brown. The Bears had their foot on the gas, and that kept the Eagles away from their running game.
He was held to fewer than 100 rushing yards for the 11th time this season, and he is averaging just 2.30 yards after contact per attempt — the 54th-ranked mark among 56 qualifying running backs. Barkley remains a fantasy asset, as the Eagles have a good rest-of-season schedule for running back production.
