The regular season of fantasy football is nearing its end, and the right waiver wire pickup at this stage of the game can help you get hot heading into the playoffs. Let's go over some of the top IDP players worth targeting in Week 10.
Defensive Lineman
It was disappointing to hear that impressive Colts rookie DE Henry Anderson has torn his ACL and has now been placed on IR, but the play of Kendall Langford opposite him is worth noting. In the last three games, he’s recorded two sacks, six hits and six hurries, generating pressure on 12.5 percent of all his pass rush snaps, an impressive figure — especially considering he's a 3-4 end. His 10 total tackles over that span have helped him rank as a low-end DE2 despite scoring fewer than one fantasy point in Week 8. He is set to be low-ceiling DL3 moving forward.
The Bills pass rush has been letting down fantasy gamers this season. Headlining the disappointing group is Jerry Hughes, who has posted only a single sack through his first seven games. However, Hughes showed what he can do — and what he has done before — in Week 9 with two sacks, four hurries to go alongside a forced fumble, fumble recovery and three solo tackles. While one game isn’t a trend by any means, Hughes averaged 49.5 total tackles and 9.5 sacks over the previous two seasons, and it’s unlikely there will be many players with his upside available on the waiver wire, so he’s worth picking up hoping he’s turned the corner and is returning to a DL2 valuation.
