RB Kyle Monangai, Chicago Bears
Monangai has been outstanding over the past few weeks, helping propel the Bears to one of the NFL’s best marks in EPA per rush over the last month. He ranks seventh among running backs in forced missed tackles per carry, while the Giants’ defense ranks second-worst in missed-tackle rate.
With weather potentially a factor, Chicago could lean even more heavily on the ground game — a dream setup against a Giants defense that ranks last in both rush EPA allowed and success rate. As solid favorites, expect the Bears to feed Monangai near the goal line and throughout high-leverage situations.
RB TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots
Henderson finally handled most of the workload for the Patriots last week and is set to once again lead the backfield. Playing in a New England offense that continues to roll under Drake Maye, Henderson should find himself in scoring position frequently.
What makes this matchup especially appealing is his passing-game usage — he earned six targets last week — against a Buccaneers defense that ranks 32nd in receiving yards allowed per pass play to running backs. This sets up as a terrific spot for Henderson to find the end zone, either through the air or on the ground.
WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
Amon-Ra St. Brown draws a terrific matchup against a Washington secondary that’s bleeding yards to wideouts — particularly from the slot, where it ranks 32nd in yards allowed to slot receivers.
St. Brown has also been a red-zone magnet, with seven receiving touchdowns this season, the second most in the NFL. With Detroit likely to threaten often in this matchup, look for Jared Goff to connect with St. Brown for another score.
