Advanced Targets goes behind the scenes and provides snap and pass route splits in addition to target numbers. Yards per route (YPRR), targets per snap (TA/SN), targets per route (TA/PR), and pass routes per snap (PR/SN) are exclusive PFF metrics that will help inform your start/sit, waiver wire, and trade decisions in a way no other service can.
Rishard Mathews probably just had his career game on Monday Night Football, but he’s not going away this season and may be the best Dolphins receiver to own going forward. Mathews saw a target on 33% of his snaps in Week 10, leading all receivers in that category. Since taking over for Brandon Gibson, he’s played 81% of his snaps in the slot. Miami hardly ever moves Mike Wallace or Brian Hartline into the slot – both are below 15% slot rate – and Ryan Tannehill targets the slot receiver relentlessly. Much of it owes to the one huge game, but Mathews may be a superior player to Gibson. He’s averaging more yards per route and has yet to drop a pass on 30 targets.
