We’re at the time in the year in fantasy football where we’re starting to see ADPs round into shape. Training camp and preseason will change some things, but we’re getting a real feel for what’s to come.
Still, between now and then, some will shift one way or the other. If you are drafting early in the process, or just playing in some MFL10’s, it’s important that you know where to find value before it’s gone.
For example, Torrey Smith was being taken right around the 150th player off the board at the start of April, only for us to now see his ADP sitting closer to 90th overall (I have reasons why that makes sense). That is what you want to look for; guys whose ADPs are likely to climb but haven’t yet, so you can get in on the ground floor. ADPs climb because the guys are going underdrafted early. If you are one of those drafting early, that means you can find bargains. Here’s a list of some such options:
Donte Moncrief WR, Indianapolis Colts (ADP WR35)
Despite Andrew Luck playing the worst football of his life in 2015, he and Moncrief had a connection on the field, one that produced the No. 22 wide receiver in fantasy in games the two both played (Weeks 1-3 and 6-9). Through the seven games they played, Moncrief was able to snag five touchdowns on 51 targets, just eight fewer targets than higher-profile teammate T.Y Hilton.
