We're wrapping up fantasy quarterback schedule week, and today is the big one.
With the elite quarterbacks below, the heaviest focus is on finding suitable fill-ins for their bye weeks and the very matchups they face. We will still be playing Aaron Rodgers against moderately tough opponents. Carrying a backup in formats where we only start one quarterback, especially leagues with short benches, is often a waste of a roster spot. Yet, when drafting two makes sense, it’s valuable to know which lower-tier passers’ schedules sync well with the studs — for instance, in MFL10 formats.
As we progress down the ADP list and move into true streamer territory, it gets trickier to pair schedules optimally – but in most cases it is possible. This is where serious value lies in finding synergistic pairings, especially for MFL10s, 2QB leagues, and for deep-bench streamers. It can pay off to align two players so that when one has a tough matchup, the other has a more tantalizing option, and vice versa. Once we hit the bottom of the list, things get bumpy – with fewer passers to choose from with similar or lower ADPs — but deep- and 2QB-leaguers can still extract useful nuggets. (For more, check out the full quarterback strength-of-schedule grid.)
The first of the two quarterback pairing suggestions is the better schedule fit in most cases.
