Texans need to find improved guard play going forward

While QB is the biggest and most visible issue, the guard position was also a weakness on the Texans offense.
Starting RG Jeff Allen regressed from an 81.9 overall grade in 2015 to 48.5 in 2016, and his run-block grade of 34.9 tied for worst among all guards.
Xavier Su'a-Filo gave up 39 QB pressures in 2016, third-most among guards in the AFC. His 7 sacks allowed were most among guards in the NFL.
The Texans offensive line as a whole had a pass-block efficiency of 74.0, sixth-worst in the NFL.
