  • Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed was strong on the first day of the team’s minicamp Tuesday, according to CSN Mid-Atlantic’s JP Finlay, who described him as “dominant.”
  • With the departure of wide receivers DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, Reed will be more relied on than ever in 2017.
  • Reed has appeared in only 46 games during his four seasons in the league and is coming off a severe shoulder injury that limited him to only seven catches and 56 yards over the final three games of 2016.
  • Reed had the lowest drop rate of any tight end in 2016, dropping only one pass in his 67 catchable targets (1.49 percent).
  • He has ranked in the top four of all tight ends in yards per route run since 2014, highlighted by a league-leading 2.45 in 2015.
