- Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce led all tight ends in Week 5 with a game grade of 90.7. It is worth noting however that Kelce left the game with a suspected concussion.
- Kelce found himself open a lot this game, catching eight of 11 targets for 98 yards which produced a 3.77 yards per route run average, good for third highest on the week among tight ends with four or more targets.
- He was used effectively as a mismatch option from the slot, where he ran 42.3 percent of his routes and put up a 4.55 yards per route run average on three receptions.
- Through five weeks of the season Kelce has produced the second highest grade among tight ends at 87.8 trailing only Rob Gronkowski. Kelce has been lethal with the ball in his hands, forcing a position high seven missed tackles. He also leads all tight ends in receptions on targets 20 or more yards downfield with four.
