  • According to Adam Schefter, in a corresponding move with the Adrian Peterson trade, the Arizona Cardinals have released running back Chris Johnson. The 10-year veteran was recently brought back by the Cardinals after a season-ending injury to star running back David Johnson.
  • Since returning to the Cardinals, Chris Johnson has started the last three games and played 107 snaps. However, the 32-year-old back has not fared well in his return to Arizona, earning just a 56.1 overall grade.
  • Most notably, Johnson has really struggled gaining yards beyond his blockers, as he has earned the second-lowest elusive rating among running backs with at least 25 carries at 12.0. He is averaging just 2.0 yards after contact per carry and has only forced five missed tackles on 50 total touches.
