Browns expect Joel Bitonio healthy for start of season

The Cleveland Browns are hopeful guard Joel Bitonio will be ready for the start of the season after undergoing Lisfranc midfoot surgery in October, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Bitonio, who hasn’t finished a season since his stellar rookie campaign in 2014, missed the final 11 games of this past season. In his 331 snaps, he earned a PFF pass-blocking grade of 84.8 and a run-blocking grade of 81.3.
He registered a pass-blocking efficiency rating of 96.7 last season, which ranked 24th out of 56 guards during that five-game stretch.
Bitonio’s PFF overall grade of 87.8 in 2014 ranked fourth for his position.
