The New York Giants clinched their first playoff berth since 2016 in dominant fashion with a 38-10 victory over the floundering Indianapolis Colts. Giants quarterback Daniel Jones accounted for more than 250 total yards and four touchdowns, and the team's defense allowed the Colts to convert just three of 12 third-down attempts.

Offensive spotlight: Daniel Jones was efficient as a passer with a 79% completion percentage and an 87% adjusted completion percentage after accounting for dropped passes, spikes, throwaways, etc. He added 91 yards and two touchdowns on the ground with a touchdown on a designed run and a scramble.

Run Type Carries Yards TDs
Designed 6 55 1
Scramble 5 36 1

Defensive spotlight: While Indianapolis gave up 38 points as a team, it is worth pointing out linebacker Bobby Okereke’s efforts. Okereke was the first contact defender on a game-high nine defensive plays, making four tackles for loss or no gain and allowing just one first down in coverage on five targets. Okereke was charged with a penalty on a late hit on a sliding Jones, but he’ll likely be one of the highest-graded defenders in the game after final review.

Rookie spotlight: Both teams started rookies at tackle, and both had fairly strong days in pass protection. The Kayvon Thibodeaux sack that ended Nick Foles’ day came off a blitz on Bernhard Raimann’s side, but the rookie wasn’t charged with the sack on initial review. In fact, Raimann wasn’t charged with any pressures allowed on 30 pass-blocking snaps, while Evan Neal let up just two hurries on the other side of the ball.

Offensive line spotlight: Andrew Thomas continues to look like one of the best left tackles in the NFL at just 23 years old. Pending review, Thomas was charged with zero pressures allowed on 29 pass-blocking snaps. It marks his fifth game this season with a clean sheet in pass protection if it holds.
