Detroit Lions quarterback Kyle Allen pump-faked to his left and then fired. Miami Dolphins cornerback Cornell Armstrong was all over it, draping Allen's intended receiver, rookie Isaac TeSlaa.
TeSlaa couldn't have cared less. He rose up and brushed off Armstrong with a veteran-like savvy. For the second straight week, the third-rounder brought down an end-zone shot. Detroit's decision to trade two future third-round picks to move up and draft TeSlaa is looking smarter by the day.
Although TeSlaa thrived once again, the Dolphins scored 10 unanswered points to close out a 24-17 victory in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL preseason.
Rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers powered the comeback. After a lackluster appearance last week, he bounced back with two touchdown passes and a burgeoning connection with fellow rookie Theo Wease Jr., who was on the end of both scores.

PLAYER OF THE GAME
Kyle Allen was nearly flawless against the Dolphins, going 14-of-17 for 124 yards and two touchdowns. He made two big-time throws, one of which was the end-zone shot to Isaac TeSlaa. Allen has now enjoyed two impressive preseason outings after a poor showing in the Hall of Fame Game.
