We know that quarterback is the most important position on the field, but a great pass rush is the ultimate equalizer. Pressure disrupts timing, rhythm and accuracy, something only the elite quarterbacks can consistently overcome.
Last season, 13 of the top 15 teams in PFF pass-rushing grade had a winning record. Back in 2023, 15 of the top 16 teams in PFF pass-rushing grade had a winning record. A dominant pass-rush is undeniably crucial to a team’s success over the course of the season.
Each week, after every NFL game is graded and reviewed, PFF will check in on the top pass rushers of the 2025 season. These rankings will drastically change over the first few weeks, as one sack, hit or pressure can dramatically alter a player's grade when the sample size is small. But as snap counts rise, the grades will stabilize, and we'll get a clearer picture of the league's best pass rushers.

Week 3 Highlights
Best Pass Rusher: Gervon Dexter Sr., Chicago Bears
Dexter led the league with a 93.0 PFF pass-rush grade against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3. He set career highs in PFF pass-rush grade, pressures (six) and win rate (33.3%) as the Bears picked up their first win of the season.
Most Pressures: Jonathon Cooper, Denver Broncos
Cooper’s 10 pressures against the Chargers led all players in Week 3 and marked a career high for the fifth-year pro out of Ohio State. The Broncos generated 36 pressures as a team, but it still wasn’t enough, as quarterback Justin Herbert came through in the clutch for Los Angeles in a tightly contested game.
Highest Win Rate: Jonathon Cooper, Denver Broncos
Cooper dominated the Chargers’ offensive line in Week 3, leading the NFL with a 41.9% win rate. He was particularly effective on true pass sets, where his win rate spiked to 64.3%.
Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Mason Graham, Cleveland Browns
Graham was part of a ferocious Cleveland Browns’ pass rush in the team's stunning comeback victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 3. The fifth overall pick in this year’s draft led all rookies in PFF pass-rush grade (76.9), generating four pressures and getting in on his first career sack in the process.

Best Pass Rusher: Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns
The league’s most dominant pass-rusher is back on top of the rankings following an elite performance vs the Green Bay Packers. Garrett is coming off a year in which he led all players in pass-rush grade, total pressures, pass-rush win percentage and pressure rate. The future Hall of Famer has been in a tier of his own since entering the league, earning a 90.1 PFF pass-rush grade or higher in each of the past six seasons.

Most Pressures: Will Anderson Jr., Houston Texans
The 0-3 Texans have been one of the league’s biggest disappointments early on, but Pro Bowl edge defender Will Anderson Jr. has been doing his part, leading the league with 19 pressures through Week 3. The 2023 Defensive Rookie of the Year generated 60-plus pressures in each of his first two seasons, something he is well on his way to achieving again in 2025.

Highest Win Rate: Will Anderson Jr., Houston Texans
Anderson’s league-leading 19 pressures have not been by luck; he also leads the NFL with a 31.5% pass-rush win rate through the first three weeks of the season. Teammate Danielle Hunter has also been impacting the game as a rusher, ranking 11th at 23.7%.
Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Abdul Carter, New York Giants
The third overall pick in this year’s draft is already a difference-maker at the NFL level. Carter leads all rookies in PFF pass-rush grade (69.7) and total pressures (11) through the first three weeks.
