The quarterback is the most important player on a football field, but a great pass rush is the ultimate equalizer. Pressure disrupts timing, rhythm and accuracy, something only the elite signal-callers can consistently overcome.
Last season, 13 of the top 15 teams in PFF pass-rushing grade finished with a winning record. In 2023, 15 of the top 16 teams in PFF pass-rushing grade found their way to a winning record. A dominant pass rush is undeniably crucial to a team’s success.
Each week, after every NFL game is graded and reviewed, PFF will check in on the top pass rushers of the 2025 season. These rankings will drastically change over the first few weeks, as one sack, hit or pressure can dramatically alter a player's grade when the sample size is small. But as snap counts rise, the grades will stabilize, and we'll get a clearer picture of the league's best pass rushers.
Here are the top 32 pass rushers for the 2025 season after Week 2. For more grades and statistics, check out PFF Premium Stats.

Week 2 Highlights
Best Pass Rusher: Joey Bosa, Buffalo Bills
Bosa dominated the Jets’ offensive line in Week 2, generating seven pressures (one sack) for a 96.7 PFF pass-rush grade on just 15 pass-rushing snaps. It was the kind of game that reminded us why Bosa was worthy of the third overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft and was a five-time Pro Bowler with the Chargers.
With a healthy Bosa in the mix, the Bills are arguably the league’s most dangerous team and the early favorite to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl.
Highest Win Rate: Joey Bosa, Buffalo Bills
Unsurprisingly, Bosa’s 40.0% win rate was the highest of any qualifying pass rusher in Week 2. The Bills’ 87.6 team PFF pass-rushing grade against the Jets was their highest since Week 3 of the 2022 season versus the Miami Dolphins.
Most Pressures: Will Anderson Jr., Houston Texans
Anderson's nine pressures in Week 2 led all pass rushers. It was the most he’s had in any game over his first two-plus years in the NFL. Anderson and teammate Danielle Hunter combined for three sacks against Tampa Bay and have established themselves as arguably the league’s best pass-rushing duo.

Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Donovan Ezeiruaku, Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys' second-round pick led all rookies in PFF pass-rushing grade (74.4) in Week 2, recording two quarterback hits across just 15 pass-rushing snaps in the team's thrilling overtime victory over the New York Giants. His 14.3% win rate also tied Abdul Carter for the top rookie mark of the week.
Season Highlights
Best Pass Rusher: Joey Bosa, Buffalo Bills
Bosa’s monster Week 2 performance bumps him up to the top spot in the pass-rusher rankings. The veteran signed a one-year deal with the Bills in March after nine years with the Chargers. He has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons, averaging just 342 snaps per season from 2022 to 2024, so the Bills may opt to limit his snaps early in the season.
Highest Win Rate: Nik Bonitto, Denver Broncos
Bonitto has steadily developed into one of the league’s best pass rushers since he was drafted 64th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft. His 33.3% win rate is the top mark in the NFL through the first two weeks of the season, and he is one of three players sitting above 30.0%.
Most Pressures: Trey Hendrickson, Cincinnati Bengals
Hendrickson’s 83 pressures in 2024 tied Myles Garrett for the league lead, and he’s off to a hot start again, generating 14 over the first two games of the 2025 season despite missing most of camp over contract negotiations. With star quarterback Joe Burrow set to miss at least the next three months of the season due to turf toe, the Bengals will need their All-Pro pass rusher to step up even more to stay competitive in the AFC.
Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Abdul Carter, New York Giants
The third overall pick in this year’s draft is already a difference-maker at the NFL level. Carter leads all rookies in PFF pass-rush grade (73.6) and is tied with James Pearce Jr. of the Atlanta Falcons with eight pressures.
