Mack, 31, spent four years with the Bears after being acquired in a blockbuster trade with the Oakland Raiders. He recorded 36 sacks during his time in Chicago but missed the final 10 games of last season due to a foot injury that required surgery.
Chargers general manager Tom Telesco said at the combine last week that the team planned to take advantage of Justin Herbert being on a rookie contract. In a matter of days they've been able to finalize a long-term deal with Mike Williams and a trade for Mack.
