Baker Mayfield put on a show to lead the Cleveland Browns to a comfortable 20-6 win over the New York Giants on the road on Sunday Night Football.

Editor's note: All of PFF's grades and advanced stats from this game will be finalized and made available to ELITE subscribers within 24 hours of the final whistle.

STORY OF THE GAME

Mayfield completed 27-of-32 passes for 297 yards and two touchdowns en route to what should be one of his highest-graded games of the 2020 season.

Four of the Browns’ skill players finished with 40-plus yards receiving on the night. Rashard Higgins led the team with four receptions for 76 yards from five targets. Jarvis Landry and tight end Austin Hooper recorded the two scores in the red zone.

Star running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt averaged just 3.2 yards per carry as a duo across 22 totes, but the Giants’ concerted effort to stop the run wasn’t enough to keep the game close.

New York had no answers offensively or defensively. Starting in place of the injured Daniel Jones, Colt McCoy completed just 18-of-30 passes for 215 yards on the night. Running backs Wayne Gallman and Alfred Morris combined for only 68 yards on the ground across their 16 carries.

Rookie Watch

Browns rookie offensive linemen Jedrick Wills Jr. and Nick Harris were fantastic in pass protection against the Giants’ defensive front. The duo combined to allow just one pressure on PFF’s first review of the film.

Opposite Wills and Harris, the Giants’ two rookie offensive linemen, Andrew Thomas and Shane Lemieux, allowed three pressures between the two of them.

The Giants also had three defensive rookies play more than 25 snaps against Cleveland. Tae Crowder, a 2020 seventh-round pick, had a strong night in run defense with multiple defensive stops. And former Alabama safety Xavier McKinney also turned in a strong performance with zero yards allowed in coverage and multiple tackles with zero missed tackles in the game.
