Fantasy: IDP - Pick-Six

It’s time to start singing those Bye week blues. There’s nothing worse than having your best players on Bye or injured all in the same week, but we all face that problem when we play this game. So here comes six players that could be on your waivers that will be more than just formidable fill-ins.

Shaun Ellis: The New York Jets offense has put tons of pressure on opposing quarterbacks, but only have 5 sacks to show for it. Look for Shaun Ellis and his 10.2 PFF rating to turn those combined 14 QB hits and QB pressures into sacks on Ryan Fitzpatrick, and the sieve Buffalo Bills defense.

Richard Marshall: Whenever any team plays the New Orleans Saints, I always hit the wire to see who is available from their secondary. This week that player is Richard Marshall. Through three weeks, Marshall has a negative 2.0 PFF rating, and none of his matchups have been particularly difficult (New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Cincinnati Bengals). Look for Drew Brees to pick on the entire Carolina Panthers secondary as the Saints light it up this week.

Carlos Rogers: Never in my wildest dreams would I think of including a player going up against Mike Vick as a strong cornerback, but Vick has looked absolutely phenomenal, and the Eagles offense is as powerful as they come. With Donovan McNabb making his return to Philadelphia with a boulder on his shoulder, this one has shoot-out written all over it, which will allow Rogers and his negative 3.7 PFF to get a bunch of tackles in the backfield.

Lawyer Milloy: Growing up, Milloy was one of my favorite safeties. The reason: he had the highest rating on the Play Station football game I played ten years ago. Now 36 years old, Milloy is a complete liability on defense, as evidenced by his negative 3.3 PFF rating. The surprisingly pass-happy St. Louis Rams will be just as pass-happy this week with Steven Jackson limited at best, which will allow Milloy the potential to break double-digit tackles again.

Bryant McFadden: After a big performance against Atlanta in Week One, Bryant McFadden has been relatively quiet against the Titans and Buccaneers. But this week he goes up against the Baltimore Ravens, who will be sporting a hobbled run game in Ray Rice, and will be forced to throw against a defense that has completely shut down the run game of even the likes of Chris Johnson this year. McFadden should see lots of balls throw his way, and should probably see his 1.4 PFF rating fall into the negative numbers as the Ravens passing game finally clicked last week.

Cameron Wake: Wake came into this season with lots of potential, and hasn’t much disappointed. He currently has a 9.1 PFF rating, and will look to continue to build off of his impressive stats. He had an off game last week against the New York Jets, but will look to take his shots this week against Tom Brady. Wake should be good for a couple tackles and a sack.
