Welcome to the Week 13 edition of Snaps, Pace, & Stats, where we examine trends in snap totals and no-huddle usage. It is meant to be a 30,000-foot view of upcoming games, with the goal of identifying which matchups will – and which will not – be played on fertile fantasy soil.
(For brevity’s sake, all references to pass or run rates/percentages are in terms of neutral game situations. Unless otherwise stated, we will reference one-score situations (plus/minus seven points) to get a truer representation of game plan.)

New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
Divisional matchups tend to be squirrelly this time of year, but these teams haven’t yet played and – at least when in Buffalo – they’ve held shootouts in the past. Over the last three seasons, those games averaged 65.7 points and 134 plays, with none dipping below 59 points or 129 plays. The Patriots lead the league in snaps and their contests feature the third-most combined plays. They score the fourth-most points per play, and operate at the fifth-quickest seconds-per-snap pace. New England may have slashed their points-allowed average after the first month (13.1 versus 32), but their games remain fantasy-friendly.
