- Improving from his underwhelming redshirt freshman season, Virginia Tech safety Terrell Edmunds allowed just 0.51 yards per coverage snap in 2016 to finish ranked No. 1 among returning ACC safeties.
- Edmunds increased his coverage grade to 79.0 last season, 5.9 points higher than his 2015 campaign. He recorded four interceptions and two pass-breakups against two touchdowns allowed, an obvious improvement from the five touchdowns he allowed and his zero interceptions in 2015.
- To continue to climb up the ranks, Edmunds will need to redirect his focus to his tackling technique. He has missed 20 of his 121 career tackling attempts, 17 of which came in 2016. He ranked No. 108 among draft-eligible safeties in tackling efficiency.
