- LSU wide receiver D.J. Chark averaged 2.17 yards per route run (YPRR) while working with underwhelming quarterbacks at the helm in 2016, which ranked No. 38 among all draft-eligible FBS wide receivers. No other returning Tiger receiver finished with a YPRR higher than 1.66.
- Quarterbacks Brandon Harris and Danny Etling combined for 58.64 in adjusted completion percentage last season, which ranked No. 81 among all Power 5 quarterbacks. However, Chark still managed to catch 55.3 percent of his targets to lead the returning Tigers receivers.
- Chark also led LSU’s returning receiving corps with his 75.8 wide receiver rating, ranking No. 16 among draft-eligible SEC receivers with at least 40 targets last season.
