  • Georgia Tech ED Antonio Simmons hasn’t garnered a ton of buzz yet, but he quietly had a productive 2016. He currently sits as a PFF Day 3 projection with the arrow pointing up.
  • Albeit a smaller sample size, Simmons can simply get after the quarterback, he totaled just one sack, but also racked up six hits and 33 hurries on 261 pass-rush snaps. His 11.9 pass-rush productivity ranked No. 4 in the draft class among 4-3 DEs.
  • While many productive edge rushers use just one move in college Simmons has three in the inside, outside and bullrush moves (ranked No. 9, No. 10 and No. 15 in effectiveness for the draft class, respectively).
  • When he does make plays against the run, he’s effective (8.4 run stop percentage ranked No. 16 in the class), however he could improve in holding his ground at the point of attack as his 72.4 run defense grade from 2016 shows.
