If you were here for the fades last week, you might have set yourself up for a lot of money. The only player on last week’s list who performed halfway decent was LeGarrette Blount, who wound up with 79 total yards and a touchdown. But Ben Roethlisberger, Marcus Mariota, Jay Ajayi, Michael Crabtree and Donte Moncrief were the “highlights” of the week. And there was no excuse to miss it last week, of course, as it was free.

You may be here because your season-long league is over, and that’s fine. If this is your first time here, it’s important you know what we do. Anyone can tell you not to play Matt Barkley, but in this space, I give you two quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers and one tight end to cross off your list, with all of them being players who you may have been considering. And just because they are here, it doesn’t mean they won’t have a semi-decent game. Whether it’s too high of a price with solid alternatives in their price range or just a flat out bad matchup, don’t have much exposure to these players, especially in cash games.

Quarterbacks

Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts (at Vikings)

This is a tough one, because there are so many top-tier quarterbacks who have tough matchups in Week 15, but the thing that separated Luck was the fact that his opponent has still yet to allow more than 26 points this season. There have been just two teams to score three touchdowns against the Vikings. That’s pretty insane, considering we’re in Week 15. Since the start of Week 3, the Vikings have allowed just three quarterbacks to score more than 14 fantasy points, and no one beat it by much. Kirk Cousins scored 18.4, which was the highest the Vikings have allowed in that stretch. And if the touchdown scarcity wasn’t enough, the Vikings have still yet to allow a quarterback pass for more than 271 yards. As a matter of fact, they haven’t allowed a quarterback more than 262 yards since Week 1. Luck himself hasn’t been a yardage monster, either, throwing for 281 yards or fewer in eight of his 12 games. We haven’t even mentioned that this game will be played in Minnesota, where the Vikings have allowed just 16.7 points per game. Luck won’t completely bust, but he’s someone who doesn’t offer enough reward for the risk you’re taking.
