Sutton’s best season was in 2019 when he caught 72 passes for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns, made his only Pro Bowl and finished 19th in PPR points. He posted a career-best 80.5 PFF receiving grade. He suffered an ACL and MCL tear early in the following season, and his PFF receiving grade has never fully recovered.

He’s become a touchdown machine in Sean Payton’s offense. His 0.59 receiving touchdowns per start ranks fifth-best among wide receivers over the last two seasons.

Sutton is in the last season of his contract. Sean Payton only lets a wide receiver maintain a high snap rate if he clearly stands out from the other wide receivers on the team. If Sutton declines or the other wide receivers step up, that could result in both a loss of targets and offensive snaps by Sutton, potentially making him tradeable.
